Guide on acquiring Sentinel Network’s $DVPN token
This is a short article describing how and where to buy Sentinel Network’s $DVPN token.
A brief Intro on Sentinel Network and sources of information
The Sentinel ecosystem is a global network of autonomous dVPN applications that enable private and censorship resistant internet access.
Sentinel will be a global bandwidth marketplace which will allow anyone across the globe to mine with their excess bandwidth, effectively monetising residential or commercial bandwidth by providing it to a network of distributed and decentralised dVPN applications built on the Sentinel framework.
Sentinel suberises the bandwidth market by allowing a single permissionless platform to become the global centre for bandwidth exchange on which entrepreneurs will be able to easily construct and maintain an autonomous decentralised VPN ecosystem that is using shared resources contrary to their centralised counterparts which exist in siloed infrastructures.
Sentinel is complimentary for centralised VPNs, Sentinel intends to create a global bandwidth marketplace that can be utilised by centralised VPN organisations, so that they become the protocol that facilitates the exchange between bandwidth providers and VPNs.

Acquiring $DVPN
There are two ways to buy $DVPN. One way is to acquire through a decentralised exchange (DeX) and the other through a centralised exchange (CeX).
1. Acquiring $DVPN on Decentralised Exchanges (DeXes)
There are 3 main Decentralised Exchanges via which you can acquire $DVPN.
i. Sifchain DeX
ii. Osmosis DeX
iii. Emeris DeX
Below follows a brief overview of the 3 main DeXes.
i. Sifchain DeX
Sifchain DeX (dex.sifchain.finance) is a Cøsmos DeX and the only one that currently has a working bridge to Ethereum, while (like with the rest) it is IBC enabled.
This means that you can either:
A. use bridged assets from Ethereum such as stable coins ($USDT, $USDC), $ETH etc. to swap for $DVPN; or
B. use any of your Cøsmos imported assets on the DeX to swap from, such as $ATOM, $AKT, $IRIS, $REGEN, $CRO, $XPRT. Soon more Cøsmos assets will be enabled such as stable coin $UST from the Terra ecosystem.
ii. Osmosis DeX
Osmosis DeX ( https://app.osmosis.zone/) is yet another way to acquire $DVPN by using any of your Cøsmos imported assets on the DeX to swap from, such as $ATOM, $AKT, $IRIS, $REGEN, $CRO, $XPRT, $IOV, $NGM; soon more Cosmos assets like stable coin $UST will be enabled on Osmosis.
iii. Emeris DeX
As with Osmosis, Emeris DeX (https://app.emeris.com/assets) offers similar capabilities for swapping IBC enabled assets to $DVPN. A bridge to Ethereum is also planned later on in 2021.
Each DeX performs distinct functions and has some unique features, pros/cons. Osmosis has the highest liquidity out of all three, while Sifchain offers a more diverse choice as you can swap for $ETH, $USDT, $USDC etc.
2. Acquiring $DVPN on Centralised Exchanges (CeXes)
This is not an exhaustive list of all Centralised Exchanges offering $DVPN but we will be mentioning the 3 most important ones:
i. MEXC Global
MEXC Global has been a decent exchange so far with moderately high liquidity.
